To whom much is given....
Before you judge God unfair for your present situation, race, family background, social status and perhaps spiritual attainments, I want you to recall that "to whom much is given, much is expected ". Often it is in our mortal tendency to compare ourselves with others on whatsoever scale devised by whosoever but God term such as being unwise. It is a common occurrence to find people express how much they hate their skin color, their looks, their financial status, material possessions, political cum social pedestal, even spiritual dealings. Their complaints aren't in an attempt to become better of but to find a footing to blame and a cocoon for excuses and mediocrity.
God gives to everyone according to such individual's ability and according to the assignments for which one is wired to accomplish...
Lucifer was that anointed guardian cherubim for so he was ordained... Arch angel Michael wasn't created in that manner and for that purpose.
John the Baptist came in the spirit and power of Elijah to herald the coming of Christ... To prepare the way and that's why his own baptism was only of water unto repentance... His assignment cost him his head on the platter... But Jesus Christ came as the only begotten son of the Father, full of grace and truth and we all beheld his glory... His baptism is with fire and the Holy Ghost... His assignments cost him his throne and his divinity for a while, he endured the thorny crown and the death of the cross... Because to whom much is given, much is expected... Much of sacrifice, much of obedience, much of accomplishment and much of fulfilment...
Joseph had the grandiose dream and his was the the Prime Minister's seat but through the Egyptian prison... Esther became the favourite Queen but hers was the daring tasks of the freedom and emancipation of the Hebrew race... Before you envy the crown weigh the price tagged to it and consider it in all wisdom whether you have what it takes to pay for it and if you are ordained to do so...
Daniel had the revelational access to understand by book the number of years before the deliverance of his brethren from Babylon so it became a compelling assignment for him to bear the burden of intercession for days... Moses was the one who saw the beauty of the burning bush so he had to bear the irrevocable enlistment as the One to confront Pharaoh and lead the stiff necked Israel ...
Hmmmm, Sometimes God's dealings is gains to pains then to exceeding gains...
It was Abraham who enjoyed the beautiful fellowship with God and perhaps told God that he would do anything for God and God showed him the beauty of mountain Moriah... So he had to bear the agony of sacrificing Isaac for to whom much is given, what is expected?... Much!
The list goes endless but let me drive this home. Everyone of us has something given to us in much quantity and much of delivery, of sacrifice and paying of price is expected of us... The good news is that you are already wired, anointed and ordained for that assignment. Do not neglect the One talent or five entrusted to you but be faithful to trade profitably with it for Godliness and contentment is great gain.
To whom much is given....
Whatsoever God gives you is how much you can carry and trade with for the now. It's progressive upon the proofs of your faithfulness.
Receive the grace to fully bring forth what is commensurate to that which is bestowed upon you in Jesus name. Amen.
